“Caroline’s Comedy Hour” was one of the early drivers of the stand-up comedy scene in 1980's and early 1990's. The series featured working stand-up comedians from around the country and provided a platform for them to reach a much wider audience.The series ran from 1989 to 1995 and was recorded at Caroline's at New York's South Street Seaport. "Caroline's Comedy Hour" won a CableACE Award for Best Stand-Up Comedy Series and contributed to the early careers of Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen Degeneres, Dave Chappelle, Caroline Rhea, Larry the Cable Guy, Carol Leifer and many more.
